AI Universe is now available on Microsoft Marketplace

Fortytwo AI Universe is now available on Microsoft Marketplace. You can install it the same way you get other software for Azure, and it deploys into your own Azure subscription rather than in someone else’s cloud.

AI Universe is the platform we built for organisations that want many teams building with AI, without each team deciding on its own how that AI is controlled. Teams create their own AI apps, each one kept apart from the others, while IT keeps one set of rules for models, safety filters, people and cost. Putting it on Marketplace means that anyone curious about it can try it on their own terms, instead of starting with a sales process to find out whether it fits.

Getting started has never been easier

Buying through Microsoft Marketplace means there is no separate contract to negotiate before you can begin. Fortytwo’s charges show up on the Microsoft invoice you already receive, so the purchase follows the same route as the rest of your Azure spend.

The installation itself is quick, and because everything lands in a subscription you own, the platform and its data stay with you. Here is what the path looks like:

  • Find Fortytwo AI Universe on Microsoft Marketplace and subscribe to the Pay-as-you-go plan.
  • Select Configure account to activate your subscription with Fortytwo, and you will receive your licence and the setup command.
  • Run the setup, which deploys the platform into your Azure subscription in 20 to 45 minutes and ends in your own admin portal.
  • Create your first app by giving it a name and describing what it should do.

Before you start, we recommend the following: a dedicated Azure subscription where you are Owner, someone with the Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator role in Microsoft Entra ID to grant consent, a domain for your apps (such as ai.yourcompany.com) and a GitHub organisation for the apps’ code.

Once the platform is in place, building an app no longer starts with a ticket. When someone creates an app, AI Universe sets up the rest on its own: a private GitHub repository with a starter app, sign-in with Entra ID, its own resource group, Key Vault, Microsoft Foundry project and AI agent. The guardrails are there from the first app, because IT decides in the admin portal which AI models are allowed, how strict the content filters are, and whether prompt shields should block attempts to trick the AI. There is also one switch that pauses every agent in every app if you ever need it.

Try it out, pay only for apps in production

There is no platform fee and there are no per-seat licences. Fortytwo only charges for apps that are in production, so your teams can build, test and throw away as many apps as they want without it costing you anything on our side.

An app stays in Sandbox while two people or fewer have access to it and no group does. That gives a builder and a colleague room to try an idea properly for as long as they need. It becomes a production app when three or more people, or a group, are given access, and the portal tells you before an invite makes that happen, so nobody crosses the line by accident.

Say someone in finance builds an app that reviews expense claims. While they and one colleague are trying it out, it is a free sandbox app. The day they share it with the whole finance team, it becomes a production app.

Get started today

The easiest way to find out whether AI Universe fits your organisation is to install it and let a couple of teams build something real. Sandbox apps are free, so the first apps cost nothing on Fortytwo’s side, and you decide when something is ready to go into production.
