SSIKT selects Fortytwo to deliver cloud-based IAM platform

08.05.2026
Søre Sunnmøre IKT (SSIKT) has selected Fortytwo as the provider of a new cloud-based Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution following a competitive tender process.

From fragmented identity management to full control

Identity has become one of the most critical layers in modern IT environments. As organizations adopt cloud services, integrate systems, and introduce AI-driven workflows, the number of identities, both human and non-human, increases rapidly.

Many organizations are left managing identity across multiple tools, with limited visibility, fragmented governance, and manual processes that introduce both risk and inefficiency.

SSIKT recognized the need for a more unified approach. The goal was not just to replace existing systems, but to establish a platform that provides full visibility, strong governance, and automated control across the entire identity landscape.

Fortytwo’s solution, Identity Universe, received the highest possible score across all key evaluation criteria, including quality, expertise, and pricing.

This marks an important step in SSIKT’s effort to modernize identity management and establish a more secure, scalable, and future-ready digital foundation. It is also a strong validation of Fortytwo’s position as experts within identity.

“The supplier has achieved full compliance with the evaluation requirements, and the evaluated functionality is considered the best possible. The solution is particularly distinguished by a user-friendly interface for both self-service and administrators.”

The winning solution: Identity Universe, a unified platform for modern IAM:

One coherent platform

The platform consolidates identity management into one operational layer, reducing complexity while increasing control and transparency across systems.
By combining automation with governance, organizations can move faster without compromising security.

Fortytwo’s Identity Universe is designed to bring identity, access, and governance together into a single, coherent platform.

Identity Universe provides:

-> A centralized dashboard with real-time insight into identities, access, and risk

-> Automated lifecycle management for users, roles, and permissions

-> Structured access governance based on role-based access control and policy enforcement

-> Integrated logging and traceability for audit, compliance, and security operations

-> Built-in support for both human and non-human identities, including services and AI agents

Built for control and real-world use

A key differentiator in the evaluation was Fortytwo’s ability to deliver a solution that is not only technically strong, but also practical to operate.

Identity Universe is built with a clear focus on:

Operational simplicity
Giving administrators and leaders a clear, usable overview of identity and access across the organization

Automation at scale
Reducing manual work through rule-based workflows and lifecycle management

Governance by design
Embedding compliance, traceability, and control directly into the platform

Future readiness
Supporting emerging needs such as AI agents and non-human identities within the same governance model
This approach aligns with Fortytwo’s broader philosophy: turning complex cloud and security challenges into structured, manageable systems that organizations can actually control and evolve over time.

A strong validation of Fortytwo’s approach

Receiving top scores across quality, expertise, and pricing validates Fortytwo’s position as a specialist in identity-driven security and cloud architecture, and its ability to translate deep technical expertise into solutions that deliver real value.

As identity continues to expand in scope, especially with the introduction of AI and autonomous systems, the need for unified governance and visibility will only increase.

With the agreement in place, Fortytwo and SSIKT will now begin the implementation of the new IAM platform.
The focus will be on building a strong foundation for identity that enables secure operations today and supports future requirements as technology and organizational needs evolve.

This will act as the foundation for how identity, access, and control will be managed going forward.
