TL; DR: Fortytwo is continuing its Nordic growth journey!

With Henrik Nilsson and Identitry becoming part of Fortytwo, we are expanding to Sweden, strengthening our identity expertise, and building a strong delivery capacity for organizations in the Swedish market.

A New Start Built On Long Experience

The acquisition of Identitry marks a continuation of Fortytwo’s beliefs in identity as the control plane for modern organizations.

As cloud environments grow, AI enters the business and legacy identity platforms reach end-of-life, many organizations are facing the same question: How do we move from fragmented identity operations to something secure, automated, and built for the future?

Henrik Nilsson, the leader of Identitry, has worked with identity for most of his career, and his competency gives Fortytwo a solid advantage in the Swedish market, both with existing customers and new ones. Henrik has built a strong professional network across the Microsoft identity community over the years, and his network became the foundation for his company Identitry.

As the identity market is developing, new patterns, new automation, and a modern operating model is evolving. For Henrik, joining Fortytwo is a way to build that next chapter with a broader team.

“With Fortytwo’s Identity Universe as a middle layer between HR and Entra ID, the identity model becomes operational, and it is a chance to rethink how identity should work,” says Henrik Nilsson.

Why Sweden, And Why Now?

What started as a conversation about possibilities quickly became a strategic decision.

“We saw that the timing was right,” says Fortytwo’s CEO Robert Darre-Nilsen. “Henrik has the kind of deep identity background that fits Fortytwo perfectly, and Sweden is a market where we believe our way of working can create real value.”

Through Identitry, Fortytwo gains a solid customer base in the Swedish market. The trusted local presence is now backed by a Nordic team of senior Microsoft specialists, and for existing Identitry customers the change means access to a larger specialist environment and Fortytwo’s Identity Universe approach to identity.

“Fortytwo have already built strong capabilities across identity, security, cloud operations and AI infrastructure. As Microsoft Security Partner of the year, we have proven to the market that our expertise is real, and we are excited to be able to offer our expertise to Swedish organizations,” says Robert Darre-Nilsen.

From Legacy Identity to Identity Universe

Many organizations are still carrying identity architectures from a different era that have solved important problems for years but these were not built for the world companies operate in now. Today, identity must support cloud operations, security, compliance, automation, and increasingly AI agents acting across business systems, requiring a new operating model.

Fortytwo’s Identity Universe is built around the idea that identity for people, machines, applications, and AI must be handled as one connected model instead of being handled as isolated projects, disconnected tools or something that only works when one expert remembers how the old system was built.

“For many customers, the challenge is not that they lack tools,” Henrik Nilsson says. “The challenge is connecting the identity lifecycle, governance, access, and automation in a way that works in daily operations. Fortytwo’s Identity Universe does this in a way that makes it easy.”

What Is Next?

Swedish organizations will meet Fortytwo as a local Nordic partner with deep Microsoft identity expertise, expanding into delivery of services within Agentic AI Infrastructure, Security Operations and Landing Zones.

This also means building long-term relationships in Sweden, the same way Fortytwo has done it in Norway, Finland, Denmark, and beyond: with senior expertise, practical delivery, and a belief that technology should make operations simpler, safer, and more predictable.

A Stronger Nordic Fortytwo

“With Henrik and Identitry becoming part of Fortytwo, we are taking another step toward becoming the leading Nordic specialist environment for Microsoft cloud operations, identity, security, and AI infrastructure,” says Robert Darre-Nilsen.

We are excited to welcome Henrik to Fortytwo and to help Swedish organizations navigate the Microsoft ecosystem!
