27th May 2026, 3 minutes read time

TL; DR: Fortytwo was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of Workplace Ninjas Norway 2026, one of Norway’s premier events for workplace technology, security and modern IT operations.

Building Trust, Community and the Future Workplace

Held at Thon Hotel Storo in Oslo, Workplace Ninjas Norway brings together industry leaders, experts, practitioners and enthusiasts for a full day of insight, discussion and networking. The event focuses on the technologies shaping the modern workplace, including Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Security, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.

A Community-Driven Conference

For Fortytwo, the day was about more than technology. It was about community, trust and the people who make modern workplace transformation possible.

The conference opened with a warm welcome from Jan Ketil Skanke, who underlined the importance of community in making events like Workplace Ninjas Norway possible. His message was clear: this is a meeting place for people who want to learn, share and build together.

He also highlighted the role of sponsors in supporting the community. As a Gold Sponsor, Fortytwo is proud to contribute to an event that creates space for knowledge sharing, networking and meaningful conversations across the Microsoft ecosystem.

Trust, Technology and the People Who Make It Work

The opening keynote was delivered by Bjørn Olstad, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, who set the tone for the day with a talk on trust, technology and the people behind successful transformation.

He explored how modern AI practitioners can help companies evolve while ensuring that future advancements strengthen business relevance. A key theme was the importance of strong communities, shared learning and skilled practitioners in driving meaningful progress. Trust was also central to the keynote, as organizations need to adopt new technologies and build AI into their operations, they need to do so securely, with quality, agility and resilience at the core.

One message stood out throughout the day: things are moving fast, work is changing, and the skills we rely on today will continue to evolve. AI is becoming capable of performing more tasks, often faster and at greater scale than humans, creating both opportunities and responsibilities for organizations.

“What Do You Do?” – Fortytwo’s Answer

One of the most common questions Fortytwo received during the conference was simple, but important:

What does Fortytwo do?

And our answer? Fortytwo is a consultancy firm within the Microsoft ecosystem. We specialize in Identity, Security, Platform and the infrastructure needed for secure deployment of AI. As companies move toward more AI-driven ways of working, the foundation matters: Identity must be clear, security must be built in, platforms must be robust and governance must be practical. Without these elements, AI adoption can quickly become fragmented, risky or difficult to scale.

The Invisible Workforce

Fortytwo’s Reidar Johan Boldevin took the stage with a session titled The Invisible Workforce, focusing on how AI agents are becoming an important part of the workplace.

As agents begin to perform tasks, make decisions, and interact with business systems, organizations need to think differently about how they are managed. Reidar explored why agents should be handled more like employees within a structured joiner-mover-leaver lifecycle.

That means every agent needs:

A clear identity.
Clear ownership.
A defined lifecycle.
The right access at the right time.
Secure onboarding, change management and offboarding.

As digital agents become part of daily operations, they need governance, accountability and security controls in the same way human workers do.

A Strong Fortytwo Presence

Fortytwo were well represented throughout the day.

Kim Remvik Larsen, Peter Pran and Harri Jaakkonen were out meeting people and taking part in conversations across the conference while Reidar Boldevin represented us on stage and Marius Mellum Solbakken worked behind the scenes as part of the organizing team together with the rest of the Workplace Ninjas.

Also, Andre Paulsen and Hjalmar Haugen, our very own Workplace Ninjas jumped from session to session, learning as much as possible about the modern workplace, what to look out for and what’s new.

Looking Ahead

Workplace Ninjas Norway 2026 showed just how quickly the modern workplace is evolving. AI, security, identity and platform thinking are no longer separate conversations, but rather, they are deeply connected.

For Fortytwo, the future workplace is built on trust, secure foundations and strong communities. We are proud to support Workplace Ninjas Norway and to be part of the conversations shaping what comes next.
